Flash Darn It
Hey there, I am back this week to talk about something I was working on which did not work whatsoever no matter what I tried. I am talking about making the enemy ai flash when you hit them. I tried making it so that when the enemy got hit, I would change the material to a glowing white material, which worked, in the sense that when I hit the enemy the original material disappeared. Still, the enemy turned into the grid-like stock material look instead of the material I changed it to. I checked if I made a mistake in the material I made but it didn't seem like that was the case since I tried other materials too and I got the same outcome. I know what you might be thinking now, my change material logic must be false, I thought so too, and I found forums on the official EPIC website that did it the same way and it worked for them it seems. After a whole day of trying, reverting, and trying again, I quit and moved on to things I knew I could spend my time on and finish. So the flash has been on the shelf for the last 2 weeks or so. Now I need to get back into it in order to add a little bit more "oomph" to the combat. What must be done must be done. I will update you guys if I get it working. Unfortunately, I don't have a screenshot of my work because this is weeks old thing I am talking about and I had to revert all the work, revert meaning undo my work because it wouldn't work and made the combat a little bit ugly and I needed it to look good for the build grade.
